Here, you can visit a real vegetable farm, see how broccoli grows, wander around, enjoy an ice cream, and relax for a while surrounded by greenery. Children and the free-roaming ducks often love playing on the small beach by the stream, and maybe the chickens will greet you when you arrive. Korka Kvarn started as a dream to create a sustainable farm and an accessible destination for the whole family. The farm is the heart of this place, where vegetables are grown entirely by hand and are always freshly harvested. You are warmly welcome to this small countryside farm – close to the city!

Farming

The approximately 1,000 sqm vegetable garden is cultivated entirely by hand – without machinery, artificial fertilizers, or toxic pesticides. You can stroll through the fields and see how the vegetables you eat grow. Learn how intensive farming works, and taste vegetables grown with love and hard work.

Animals

Currently, we have hens and free-range ducks. All animals serve one or more important purposes: the hens provide eggs and valuable fertilizer, while the ducks also lay eggs and, more importantly, eat snails. Plus, they're delightful company as they waddle around chatting between their daily baths in the stream.

The Farm Shop

In the farm shop, you can buy the freshest vegetables, artisan ice cream, coffee, treats, homemade goods, and unique hand-sewn kaftans (made by my mom). Jams, marmalades, pickles, and other culinary delights are crafted using ingredients from the farm, and the selection varies with the season.

At Korka Kvarn, we offer a destination that’s accessible to everyone, with something for all ages. Simple, authentic, and genuine. In the idyllic old mill setting, you can enjoy nature, shop for fresh vegetables and handmade culinary products, as well as unique, hand-sewn kaftans.

You can also book a nature-inspired stay with full comfort in our glamping tent or a simple but cozy overnight stay in our barn.

Vanliga frågor

No, it’s not self-picking. I harvest continuously whenever we’re open, and you’re more than welcome to join me as I harvest if you’d like!

Titta gärna på aktuellt utbud här. Jag uppdaterar också nästan dagligen på sociala medier (Facebook och Instagram @korkakvarn) med vad som är skördeklart just nu, samt när nytt mathantverk kommer ut i butiken. Jag kokar kola, marmelad, chutney mm. varje vecka för att det alltid ska vara nygjort och supergott.

All information about opening hours is regularly shared on social media (Facebook and Instagram @korkakvarn). Typically, the season begins with plant sales in early May and continues into June. We then close during the latter part of June and reopen for the harvest season in the first days of July. The season lasts through September and may even extend into October, depending on the weather.

Det öppnar för säsongen i början av maj med plantförsäljning, som håller på in i juni. Skördesäsongen startar i början av juli och håller på september ut, och från mitten av augusti kommer även äppelmustningen igång. Glass, fika och mys finns alltid!
Det är också öppet i december för alla som vill handla mathantverk och unika kaftaner i julklapp (eller till sig själv!).

I nuläget skickar jag inga produkter, utan säljer dem endast på plats i gårdsbutiken samt på ett fåtal marknader jag besöker under sensommaren och före jul.
