No, it’s not self-picking. I harvest continuously whenever we’re open, and you’re more than welcome to join me as I harvest if you’d like!
I update my social media (Facebook and Instagram @korkakvarn) almost daily with what’s ready for harvest at the moment and when new handmade products are available in the shop. I make caramel, marmalade, chutney, and more every week to ensure everything is freshly made and delicious.
All information about opening hours is regularly shared on social media (Facebook and Instagram @korkakvarn). Typically, the season begins with plant sales in early May and continues into June. We then close during the latter part of June and reopen for the harvest season in the first days of July. The season lasts through September and may even extend into October, depending on the weather.
Starting this year (2024), we’ll also be open in spring for plant sales, and in December for anyone who wants to shop for handmade goods and unique kaftans as Christmas gifts (or for themselves!).
Currently, I don’t send products; they’re only available for purchase in the farm shop and at a few markets I attend in late summer.
